India's current ERP

India's current ERP, ERP biggest challenge in India, C / S to B / S, LAN-based application software

India's current ERP biggest challenge: to achieve wide-area network-based application delivery
As the world economic integration, development, and enterprise organizations are emerging trends of globalization and localization. According to statistics, more than 50% of employees located in offices away from Headquarters. According to IDC data show that the United States alone there are as many as 6 million branch offices, distributed enterprises have become the basic organizational form. This shift in corporate Internet applications is being driven change in the structure.

Forrester Research Inc. found that the distributed enterprise models to drive the transformation of enterprise application mode:

1) The distributed nature of business organization is increasingly evident. SMEs must be an increasing number of branches, services, outsourcing partners, and offices away from headquarters staff to provide support.

2) The user mobility is growing. With the increasingly dispersed office locations, the user of mobile office has also become increasingly popular.

3) Applications have become increasingly complex. IT facilities must have the right dispersed office locations and mobile users support for all applications.

As India's enterprise application software, infrastructure upgrades (software architecture from C / S to B / S) and server virtualization technology to promote (undo branch server in headquarters integration), application deployment and focus on building large data centers is entering a new phase. Enterprise application systems more and more increasingly complex, the resulting corporate headquarters and branch network traffic between the rapidly increasing user demand for bandwidth and network performance requirements is also relatively higher.

Traditional LAN-based application software to design an ideal environment for the development:

1. Bandwidth is relatively unlimited, between the client and server to a very high rate of exchange of data, there is no network latency.

2. The network will not be blocked, LAN Fast or Gigabit are more bandwidth, no congestion.

In this assumption environment, application performance bottlenecks mainly by the application server hardware configuration (including the CPU processing power, memory capacity, etc.) cause.

When the C / S structure of the application to conduct large-scale deployment in the WAN, we found the existing WAN environment simply can not support the application of the normal operation (WAN and LAN bandwidth is not the biggest difference, but the inherent physical properties: delay and packet loss ), remote access, access is too slow, while the line's bandwidth costs would be quite high, bent on increasing the bandwidth can not fundamentally solve the problem.

On the other hand, with the virtualization technology, rapid development and promotion, through third-party products such as Citrix, Microsoft's Terminal Services or domestic cloud-speed application virtualization technology Solutions are able to directly implement C / S structure of Web-based programs, but without any changes to the original procedure. The program to improve client-side framework for software WAN performance has obvious effects. In addition, the major ERP software vendors have also been introduced based on the B / S structure, management software, and the market share is rising. But the original "Speed" bottleneck problem still exists.

As a result, WAN acceleration technology optimization is becoming a distributed enterprise to centrally manage the deployment of the most concerned about a technology that is driving the rise of centralized management of the deployment of enterprise development. At the same time, due to WAN optimization acceleration technology can improve upload and download data for data transmission bottlenecks, in the next few years, the right to adopt a user-centric, service-oriented cloud computing model will also play a role in fueling.

Currently Google and Amazon and other large Internet companies have adopted the relevant WAN optimization and acceleration technologies to improve application delivery speed to enhance user experience.
