L2F Layer 2 Forwarding
By Cisco (CISCO) developed TUNNELING Protocol (PROTOCOL), can be used on the Internet (INTERNET) to establish a virtual private line (VPN). CISCO has agreed to L2F and Microsoft (MICROSOFT) the merger of the PPTP specification into L2TP.

LAN Local Area Network
LAN for a range of smaller regional networks, usually in a company's office or a company's internal or a building erected network. Usually the scope of Internet connections is limited to 100 meters, only known as LAN, its constituent components for PC workstations, network adapters, coaxial lines, network operating systems and file servers.
