Technical Terms

ASCII
Variant of International Alphabet No. 5 CCITT (or code ISO 7 elements) used for exchanging information. This code defines the representation of a character set containing the 26 uppercase and lowercase letters, digits 0 to 9, punctuation, special characters and control characters.
There is an 8-bit ASCII, originally set for microcomputersWhich allows for the lowercase accented letters.

ASIC
Application Specific Integrated Circuit. Integrated Circuit specialized, custom developed for a manufacturer.

ASN.1
(Abstract Syntax Notation One) Abstract Syntax Notation No. 1
Standard ISO/ IEC for the rules coding of Certificates X. 509. Two types exist - DER (encoding rules developed) Distinguished Encoding Rules and (BER encoding rules Basic) Basic Encoding Rules.

Asynchronous
Method of data transmission in which the moment ofIssue each character or block of characters is fixed arbitrairement.La transmission of each character has a start bit, a set of bits representing the character to be transmitted and a stop bit.
