Backbone
It is the hub of a broadband network. Literally thorn dorsal. In the context of telecommunications networks means the party who bears the bulk of traffic using the technology faster and much bandwidth over great distances. Small systems (internal to a company or region) belong to this backbone, as the rivers swell the course of a river.
Backdoor
Item confidential access to an operating system, program or service online. These secret passages are arranged by designers Software to provide privileged access for testing or Maintenance. But hackers who discover them can defeat all security mechanisms and enter the system. Also refers to small programs installed in thecomputer unbeknownst to the user (usually poetry), and provide access control to the computer by hackers.
Baseband Frequency occupied by a signal before modulation for transmission, or after demodulation.
Frequency Continuum of frequencies between two specified frequencies. The frequency transmitted by phone: 300 - 3400 Hz.
