Datagrid
The European computing grid Datagrid was attended by 21 scientists and industrial partners in Europe, involved up to 15 000 computers and over 15 terabytes of storage spread across 25 sites in Europe. All in the service of 500 scientists and three major application areas: the high energy physics, biomedical applications and earth observation.
Despite these achievements, Datagrid gives way to a new version Aegean (Enabling Grids for E-Science in Europe - 70 partner organizations from 25 countries) whose objective is to make the European grid computing available everywhere in Europe, 24 hours on 24.
Datamining
Or data mining. Ensemble methods and techniques that can extract information from a large mass of data. Its use allows for example to establish correlations between these data and to define behavior-type customers.
Flow
Quantity of information transmitted via a communications channel according to an interval weather given. The speed of a connection Internet usually expressed in kbps (kilobits per second).
The flow line ADSL may be 1024 kbps, for example in reception. In reception, this value refers to the speed of data transmission service provider to thecomputer the Internet. The flow Issue (or upward flow) reflects the amount of data transmitted from the computer of a user to his ISP.
ATM Debit
The flow ATM flow is measured at the DSLAMContrary to the flow IP which is measured between the DSLAM and the subscriber.
Now, ISPs can communicate only by flows ATM marketing trick to revive the race speeds.
Ex: ATM 20 Mbps = 16 Mbps IP.
