Catadioptric
Respect to both catoptrics (laws of reflection light) And the diopter (laws of refraction).

A catadioptric lens is composed of both mirrors (concave in general) and lentils. Several families telescopes are of this type: Cassegrain, Schmidt-Cassegrain, Maksutov, Ritchey-Chretien. The main interest is to provide a focal length longer than the tube, or, at equal length, a more compact instrument.

A reflector means reflecting the system usually mounted on vehicles, comprising a multitude of small lenses applied against a mirror. It reflects light in much the direction from which it comes.

Catchall
