The funds are extracted from Gallica digital library of BnF. They have been selected to design a heritage library and encyclopedic. This collection gathers prestigious editions, dictionaries and periodicals. It involves many disciplines including history, literature, science, philosophy, law, economics or political science.
If these funds emphasize French culture, they also offer many foreign classics in their original or Translation.

Geoportal
Software mapping satellite developed by the IGN launched June 23, 2006
URL: http://www.geoportail.fr/
The Geoportal provides a coherent overview of all spatial data in 2D and 3D via software France resourcesPublished by the American firm Skyline: detailed satellite photos (50 cm pixel), Maps, cadastre, etc.. The basic access is free. However, adding data on maps, or to expand services from bases and system of IGN, we must pay.
Often presented as a competitor Google Earth (on French territory, but similar services - and normally interoperable - are preparing in Europe), the French Geoportal is actually less than that. From the perspective of the user, Google Earth did not allow a priori of fun to add and share a small label (a ". kmz" on Google Earth) to show where his country house, or find a restaurant.
From the perspective of suppliers of services, IGN has positioned itself as a neutral provider of data and services: in other words, Google and others can buy him his data to develop competing services.
