Google Bombing
The Google Bombing is the creation of several persons of hyperlinks to a site, which are associated with a word or phrase pejoratively. When performing a search engine like Google query on these words, the target site appears at the top of the results, thanks to the multitude of links created artificially.
Several personalities have already borne the brunt of this practice. President Bush for example has been the victim at the end of 2003, by opponents of the war in Iraq. When we entered today in Google the phrase "Miserable Failure", which in English means "miserable failure", tops the results page of the site of the White House with the President's biography. Google Earth
Google Earth is a virtual globe that allows you to view images recorded by satellite in most parts of the Planet. That the place visited be seen from space or ground a few meters, the accuracy of the photos is amazing. Program: satellite images, maps, stereoscopic images and 3D representations of buildings.
Additional information can be superimposed on the satellite image, such as hotels, restaurants, roads, etc..
Google Talk
Google Talk is a service of IM and VoIP offered by Google.
The Software Google Talk is currently available only for Windows (2000, 2003, XP). But users or Liunx MAC can connect to Google Talk network using another IM client (see This page). Only the English version is currently proposed, and must also have a Google Mail account can register for the instant messaging service from Google.
Based on the Protocol Jabber/ XMPP, Google Talk has the distinction of being compatible with other instant messaging software such as Adium, GAIM, Trilian Pro and iChat above, the instant messaging software included with Mac OS X by Apple.
In terms of voice communications, Google Talk supports Codecs PCMA, PCMU, G.723, and iLBC codecs Global IP Sound: ISAC, IPCMWB, EG711U, EG711A and plans to soon adopt the standard Telecom "SIP".
