Standard
Document established by consensus and approved by a recognized standards body (ISO, CIS, ITU-T ETSI ...). Do not confuse with standard.

NTSC
Acronym meaning National Television Systems Committee. This is the standard dissemination American and Japanese video that broadcasts 30 frames per second instead of 25 for PAL and SECAM. The NTSC image is worse than its European equivalent.
