EGEE
The EGEE (Enabling Grid for E-science in Europe) is funded by the European Commission and is working together experts from 27 countries.

With a budget of 30 Million euros, the project is one of the most important of its kind.
The project aims to provide computing resources and storage for large industrial and academic researchers regardless of their geographical location. Three types of scientific applications including life sciences and high energy physics, have been chosen to demonstrate the feasibility of such an infrastructure. The EGEE project will attract new scientific applications.
The project will focus on three axes
* Construct a grid computing consistent, robust and secure;
* To continually improve the quality of Software to provide reliable service to users;
* Attract new scientific and industrial users by letting them discover the new potential offered by the grid and ensure they receive training and quality support.
This grid network based on high flow (DOT Force) of the European Union and make optimum use of expertise accumulated by many national and international Grid past, present and future.
