White Noise
Noise whose power spectral density is constant regardless of frequency. The sound produced when the effect of "snow" on a TV set is not a good example of white noise. Strictly white noise can not exist as a spectral density identical for all frequencies lead to a variance, measured by the AUC, infinite (and therefore infinite energy). It is therefore of limited white noise to a band.
