Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are becoming commonplace. Many studies report that about 90% of large business organizations have implemented an (Olhager and Selldin, 2003; Manufacturing Business Technology, 2008). In addition to their implementation in large enterprises, they are now implemented in many mid-sized organizations. At this time, the significant benefits that accrue to businesses that have successfully implemented ERP systems have been well documented. Yusuf et al. (2004) suggest that ERP systems offer three major benefits: (1) business process automation; (2) timely access to management information and (3) Improvement in the supply chain via the use of E-communication
