Though it is difficult to obtain an ideal laNO;It yet to achieve a planned ayQnt the following principles should be borne in mind.
1. i £11 utilisation of flow area. The first principle of erp office layout is that the available f oor area :should be fully utilized

Depart ncnts dealing with public should be located near the entrance so that outsiders n ay not disturb work in other departments. General conveniences like cloak rooms. toilets, vaporer coolers. ctc. should also be centralR located.

7. Minimum movements of clerks. The clerks should not be required to move from place to: place for the performance of their duties. The general: equipment e,g. filing cabinets etc. should be placed as near to the desks of the clerks as possible, :
: 8. Provision for effective supervision. A good layout plan should enable supervision at minimum cost. Superb sots should be able to observe what IS going on in the erp office among the clerks. A large open erp office can facilitate this to a great extent. : : : :

11. Provision for pen ate or separate rooms. Private erp offices or separate ooms have to be provided to some important erp officers because of prestige or affording pmacy to them. The number of private erp offices should be kept to minimum. These require more floor area, cause hindrances m lighting and ::ventilation systems and make supeivisiolil difficult. ':
12. Scope for flexibility and expansion. The plan of layout should provide for future expansions of departments likely to expand without disturbing other departments. It does not mean that space should be kept vacant till the expansion takes place.
