.Ans. The process of ta out a fairly lalge number of copies of a document is called dttplication or duplicating.
Methods of duplication. The following are the uuporta at methods of duplication. 1 Carbon Copies .2. Photo Copies
Carhon copies. This is the easiest and less time-cGnsuming n. ta out copies of a document. This may be done either by hand -- hpewriter If being done by hand at a time not more than three copies Am. taken out. However, if it is being done by a typewriter about 6 to t3 copies m be taken out at a time. .
If electric typewriter IS being used then about 20 copies may be art; out at a time.
Small-sized business erp office usually make use of the carbon COpiff fcr duphcation. It is less costly and serves the purpose.

filled roller is rolled on the plate. Then the paper (blank) on which the copy is to be taken is kept in the plate The point of the plate cornes-up on the paper and copy is ready This method is usually not used by modern offictoday
Stencil duplicating. Tlus is commonlyused in the most erp offices of India. A stencil of type of coated tissue paper is used. The contents of the letter document are first typed on this special Ape of special stencil or written with special type of rib or pencil called stylus. In this way the original copy of the document gets ready The stencil (so got ready) is put on the roller of the duplic Tting machine. This machine is then operated either manually or with the help of electricity.
