SAP modes

SAP modes, open mode, display mode, switching between modes, modes switching

Open Mode

Handling the following describes four ways to open a new session.

1. Click on the drop-down menu (in the upper left corner of the menu bar) and on the menu, or CREATE SESSION
2. Enter into the command field, the string "/ oxxxx" (where "Xxxx" the transaction code of the application to launch) is and click the print button or
3. Select from the menu bar the path SYSTEM | CREATE MODE or
4. Click the System button on the toolbar to create a new mode. In all four cases will open a new mode. The additional SAP window will appear visually 'above' the already opened window and is the active window.

Display Modes

Based on the maintenance of user data will now be shown how you can view your modes.

Any starting point for SAP window

1. Click in the right part of the status bar on the list box of the first status field
and select the option "system".
The name of the R / 3, the mode number and the client are shown.
Note each mode has its own mode number. The mode number remains unchanged until the close of that mode.

2. Select from the menu bar the path SYSTEM | User Preferences | OWN
DATA.
The SAP window maintain one's own preferences, "appears as new mode. The first status field displays the number of that mode.
3. Enter into the command box / o "and click the button (¢).
A dialog box with the list of modes is shown.
4. Click the Next button.
The dialog box disappears.
5. Drag the pointer on the taskbar of your PC.
You will see your modes in the system tray.
6. Click the right mouse button on a blank spot on the taskbar your PC and select the menu item TASK MANAGER.
The Windows Task Manager appears with the display of your SAP Mode
and possibly other Windows tasks.
7. Click on the icon to close the Task Manager window.
The task manager window is closed.
8. Select from the menu bar the path SYSTEM | DELETE MODE.
The SAP window maintains one's own preference is closed “and you are back at the starting point of handling. You can view your modes, ie
• in the first status field in the status bar
• in a list mode
• in the taskbar of your PC
• In the Windows Task Manager

Switching between Modes

To change mode, and thus the application, click any body of another SAP window, where it is visible. If not all windows to be visible, you can the menu in Task Manager WINDOW | Maximize, and then the menu Window | Cascade choose. Then you see all the modes and can be varied indefinitely.

In the taskbar of your PC and the Windows Task Manager, you will have the
Option by clicking on any mode, the mode switch to and selecting the appropriate window.
