SAP tables with system control data

SAP table control, table settings, using tables in SAP, ABAP dictionary uses

A table control is (from the perspective of end users), a rectangular, spreadsheet -
Area on the screen (screen image), the view and
possibly used for the input of data. Table controls are therefore screen elements.
On a single screen more table control are possible. A table control can

• Input / output fields
• Radio buttons
• Checkboxes
• Pushbuttons

In a table control can be

• scroll vertically and horizontally (scroll down)
• Columns and rows highlight
• changing the column width
• Move columns
• save the current settings

Table controls allow the display of large amounts of data in tabular form. They have, therefore, a vertical and a horizontal scroll bar. The first column of a table control is the mark column. It serves to select rows. A table control can contain up to 255 columns. The first row of a table control is always the header. It contains the column headings (except mark column). The column headings serve as pushbuttons for marking columns.

If you click repeatedly on a column header, the corresponding column alternately selected and deselected. Analog, you can select and deselecting.

Drag the mouse on the dividing line between two column headings, so the cursor changes its shape and you can drag & drop the column zoom in or out (until the complete disappearance a column in this view). Also drag & drop, you have the opportunity to change the position of columns (eg, two adjacent columns to exchange). 1. Take in the table control by drag & drop any changes and click

Using tables
