Status window, SID, system ID, component information, SAP R / 3 users separately

The status window contains technical information. You can get it from any
SAP call window.
Any starting point for SAP window

1. Select the menu System | STATUS.
The status window will appear.

Note If you click with the mouse in any field and then (F1) button, a documentary about this box appears.

2. Press (¢.
The status window is closed again.

Information in the status window
• Group box "usage data"
In the fields 'client', 'user' and 'language' you will see the data, that you entered when you registered.
• Group box "data repository"
"In the box you can use the transaction code of the active transaction SAP transaction

(Software) development objects of the ABAP Workbench.
• Field Group »SAP system data"
In this field you can group the version of your SAP system (as
mySAP component and reflected component of the mySAP Business Suite).

• Group box "computer data"
Here you will find the name of the application server and operating system
it is running on, and an indication of the hardware on which this operating system
has been installed.
• Field Group "databank"
Here you see the name and the release of the central database system. The Name field contains the name of the R / 3 (SID = System ID, three-digit name of "database instance"). The field "Host" indicates the name of the appropriate application server (database server).

Usage data, user data, user preferences

Using data from the status window should not with the user be confused. The user data (for each SAP R / 3 users separately) contained in a so-called user master record, which the system administration before the first registration of the user port. This User master record contains e.g. the user's rights within the R / 3 system. A portion of its users information about any user the menu SYSTEM | User Preferences | OWN DATA maintain itself. This part is called user-specific data.

Component Information

The status window it is possible by clicking on the button Component information is another dialog box with information to open the software components of your R / 3 (Figure 2.20). A software Component (mySAP component, component of the mySAP Business Suite) is a reusable component from the viewpoint of software production.
It consists of a set of software objects, which only be shared delivered (by SAP AG to their customers.
