Title : Senior Engagement Manager
Our client seeks a Senior Engagement Manager to work in a customer solutions management role to drive network outsourcing business expansion for our client’s top Service Provider (SP) customers. As the single point of contact to the customer and leader of a engagement team, you will be responsible for driving business development activities from understanding business needs to solution development and deal structuring and facilitating deal closure. Managing executive level customer relationships and customer communications will be a primary role.
The ideal candidate is extremely flexible, has a strong consulting background, and is comfortable with the extensive travel required in this position. This role will require considerable cross functional teamwork.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a consulting background to become a trusted expert for our clients, applying business process and networking/applications knowledge to help customers better take advantage of our client’s technology.
The Engagement manager creates overall network outsourcing strategies and plans for strategic customers. Transitions the customer's business plan into architectural and/or network strategies including detailed user and technology requirements as well as service pre-sales solution development.
The Engagement manager also mobilizes the right people, skills, alliances, tools, and technologies to drive and deliver this solution proposal to the customer. Develops and presents the service solutions. Recommends technology and partner solutions. Develops risk assessment analysis, customized pricing solutions, margin analysis and engagement documentation.
Desired Profile
We would look for Senior candidates who have high profile, in the experience range of 16-20 years, ideally from consulting firms or from big IT services companies in the telecom consulting and outsourcing space.
The ideal candidate can be the outsourcing practice head of a telecom MNC or a large telecom service provider. He needs to have excellent connections and knowledge of the telecom service provider market . strong track record of working with telecom service providers on providing solutions and engineering large deals through consultative selling (these deals would be as small as $ 60 million and as large as $ 600 million or more).
Typically requires MBA degree or equivalent plus 15+ years of relevant experience. Extensive Service provider industry experience is a MUST.
Other required/preferable qualifications include:
Experience in deal structuring for complex systems integration or Outsourcing deals of leading edge technology or large scale/multi-vendor networks.
Experience in business development, partner engagement, project management, negotiation and risk assessment for such deals.
A natural leader who can inspire confidence and motivation in all the stakeholders during the long pre-sales process . Has reasonable understanding of service provider network technologies.
