Desired Candidate Profile
YOU SHOULD HAVE ATLEAST 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN IT PROGRAMMING INCLUDING LANGUAGES/PACKAGES LIKE C, C++, SAP AND ERP.

A PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN LEADING TEAMS AND WORKING WITH A MULTINATIONAL CLIENT SHALL BE PREFERRED.

ERP J2EE Architect

Job Description:
The role would be Leading Java project bids and development. • Develop Technical Designs and advise clients on the best methods to achieve their business requirements. • Day to day activities will include: liaising with client teams to specify and build Java functionality to deliver required business functionality and/or interfaces and data integration. • Working with the sales team to shape bids to the most effective delivery solution and work with the sales team and clients to help close sales. • Defining J2EE standards to be applied across the business. • Working with Architects to define standard patterns to map from Architecture onto implementation. • Working with Sales and Architecture teams to select the most effective technologies to deliver the solution. • Creating standard positions on what Java technologies and products fit given problem domains. • Becoming involved in the wider Java Community Process as a member.
 
Person Profile

Excellent general consulting skills a pre-requisite. • Very good client facing consulting capability. Experienced J2EE Architect who has overseen the delivery of several J2EE projects. • Excellent Core Java skills). • Experience of Enterprise Java Standards including JMS, JCA & EJB – team leading and architecture experience • Background in Enterprise Application rather than Web Development. – Business process analysis and design – Knowledge of emerging standards.
 
Essential Skills:
• Candidates with good understanding of Application, Information and Infrastructure Architectures in the Public and Private Sectors

• Extensive experience in three of the following functional areas –

o Application Integration (Messaging, Adapters, ERP Integration, JCA)

o People Integration (Portals, Collaboration, Multi channel access, Web Enablement)

o Process Integration (Business Process Integration, Workflow, Service Orchestration)

o Service Integration (ESB Implementation, Service Enablement, Legacy Integration)

o Data Integration (Data hubs, ETL, Data models)

o Business Integration (B2B, B2P, EDI)

• Experience of developing Enterprise Integration solutions using at least one of the following technology stacks -

o IBM Web Sphere (Message broker, Web Sphere MQ, Portal, ESB, Process Server)

o BEA Web Logic/Aqua Logic (Web Logic Integration, BEA Portal, Aqua Logic ESB, Aqua logic BPM)

• Experience in design and delivery of Service Oriented Architectures

• Strong appreciation of Object Oriented techniques
• Demonstrates good, relevant knowledge of J2SE
• Strong background in technical architecture design and management, ranging from infrastructure platforms to application software
• Can articulate the relevant approaches to software development – RUP, Agile
• Able to interpret and create UML artifacts
• Shows knowledge of design patterns and their areas of applicability
• Experienced in delivering complex enterprise wide solutions, and working in all areas of the system delivery life-cycles.
• Exposure to both package and custom build implementation method in business and technical systems integration,

• A demonstrable J2EE background is essential as a significant proportion of the projects will be focused around the delivery of software solution architectures;

• Excellent communication & influencing skills with proven ability to lead teams and deliver innovative, but realistic solutions to complex client problems.

• Proficient at communicating strategies, policies and complex technical issues to both business and technical audiences. Comfortable when presenting to a senior audience.

• Ability to develop productive client relationships at different management levels and identify and develop opportunities for new business

• Fully flexible approach to working hours and working away from home during the week. Willing to work both nationally and internationally.
• Qualified to degree level or having extensive experience

Desirable:

• Experience of other Integration technologies such as Sun JCAPS, TIBCO, Web Methods, Progress, SAP XI/PI, Oracle Fusion.

• Significant consulting experience within major consultancy

Job Description:
To work as part of the Engagement Management group which provides consultancy and engagement management expertise to external clients. Members of the Engagement Management Group can be placed on technology focused delivery assignments in any sector and manage projects or programmes of varying size and degrees of complexity, from single small team assignments to multi-site, multi-discipline projects/programmes, or as mentor for client project/programme managers. Projects may contain a blend of Capgemini, client and contract staff and include a range of different stakeholders. The Engagement Management group is looking for candidates, with experience of managing projects or programmers having a strong technology element and can satisfy the following:
 
The key responsibilities of the job will include:
 
· All aspects of Project or Programme management
· Definition, scoping and planning of one or more projects
· Programme and project structuring
· Feasibility studies and Business case development
· Business Change Implementation
· Roll-out design and management
· Benefits tracking
· Programme and Project audits and reviews
· Exposure to package based engagements or experience of working with bespoke / customised technology solutions
 
 
Person Profile - Essential qualifications, experience, knowledge:
· Excellent Communication skills
· Able to build productive client relationships and identify and develop opportunities for new business
· Flexible about work content and location and able to work independently with the client on site
· Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) or having extensive experience
· Proficient in the use of Project management tools
· Recent successful delivery of IT related projects from inception through to delivery to agreed cost, timescales and quality
· Cross sector experience with at least one major industry sector
· Proven leadership and motivational skills and experience in mentoring staff
· Applicants for some roles are required to have managed at least one major client engagement and be familiar with the business and commercial aspects of relationship management
· Clear experience of requirements design, build and implementation
· Experience of managing bespoke implementations and/or ERP/Package (Oracle, MS Dynamics, SAP) based implementation experience (eg back office, financials, HR)
· Project ownership
· Excellent presentation and the confidence to present to a client.
 
 
 
Person Profile – Desirable qualifications, experience, knowledge:
· A formal qualification in Project Management
· Extensive delivery experience and / or certified in at least one recognised Project management methodology
· Certified in PRINCE
· Industry experience, for example Government or other Public Sector organisations
· Knowledge of Bid Management processes
