Data Center Design & Development

Job Description
The Head / Manager - DataCenter will supervise the in-house team, consultant and the contractor teams to support the construction and the integration of multilayered datacenter requirements in the following areas:
 Servers and Data storage
 DC and AC power plant and PDU infrastructure
 HVAC systems
Facility space planning and physical layout of equipment
Physical security systems
Copper and fiber structured cabling systems
Work cross functionally with IP, server, transport, microwave and RF engineering teams to generate standard designs for Client facilities based on business requirements
Network equipment for data center use, characterize the facilities requirements and manage integration into designs
Engineering design packages used by the installation teams, manage the handoff process andresolve design issues during installation
Perform design, integration testing and implementation in conjunction with technology teams. Establish KPIs during design phase; ensure test plans are adequate to verify KPIs can be met with new systems
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in data center design and implementation
Broad knowledge on latest IT and Data Center strategies, such as Server consolidation, cloud computing and virtualization (Server, desktop and storage).
Extensive design experience with large scale DC and AC power systems, HVAC systems and structured cabling.
Experience managing vendors and outsourcing companies.
Experience with networking equipment, knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals and understanding of out of band management systems.
Experience with and knowledge of industry standards and best practices for data centers
Strong process focus and project management skills.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Bachelors degree in technical discipline is required.
