* Deliver projects/analyses/ ad-hoc reports starting from data extraction through summarization, analysis and presentation of findings/ recommendation.
* Project management tasks include (but not limited to): defining project scope, providing analysis/development plans, working closely with Target Minneapolis team during execution of project, and ensuring on-time delivery and quality of projects.
* Ensure all projects are fully documented (objective, requirements, analysis plan, technical design, results, support, training, etc.).
* Manage the progress and prioritization of multiple projects.
* Ensure effective and efficient business processes in partnership with other analytics and reporting development teams.
* Provide alternate and innovative solutions to solve/analyze the business problems in order to magnify the business gains.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
* Masters in Economics or Statistics or business administration (Finance specialization). OR Masters in Computer Applications (MCA)
* Relevant Work experience 3 - 5 years:
* 1-2 years experience with Oracle or IBM UDB/ DB2 databases, data mining or data warehouse concepts (data staging, batch processes, etc.), including exposure to handling large quantities of data (over a million observations with >300 variables)
* If MCA then experience in front-end reporting tools for BI: Microsoft Excel or Webfocus or SAS Web Reports, etc. Experience in writing optimized SQL statements and analyzing query performance.
* If Masters in quantitative discipline then experience in use of various statistical tools and techniques including score-card development.
* If MBA then experience in Financial Analysis and Modeling
* Good knowledge on SAS and Microsoft applications
* Systems and business analysis experience for the purpose of requirements documentation and working through issues as part of a team.
* Understanding of business cycles and fundamental accounting concepts
* Strong client focus and ability to manage expectations.
