Framework forcopyright protection of the copy protecttechnology and the like which with the next generation optical disk (Blu-ray Disc HD DVD) is adopted.It was decided withthe purpose which prevents the illegal copy.

AACSHD-isthe DVDBlu-ray Disc respective propulsion manufacturer,AACS LA(AACS LicensingAdministrator) which 8 corporations of the IBM corporation, the Intel corporation, the Microsoft corporation, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., SONY, Toshiba, the Walt Disney corporation and the Warner Brothers corporation establish jointly has decided specification.

There is the arrangement that, in order to preventthe illegalcopy by analog output, it restricts the analog output in hi-vision picture quality in AACS, converts to standard picture quality mandatorily. Because of that, the software hardware which conforms to AACSmust correspondto ICT (Image Constrain Token) which can restrictthe analog image output (aboveD3) which does not accompany copy prevention technology. But, from opposition and the like of home appliance vendor side, "the country which the utilization of ICT is restricted does not have to introduce ICTto2011, the provision", joined. With this, in US, the restriction with ICT it is not released in the software which is sold strictly by 2011 (to 2010December31st).
